Decorative veneer plywood, referred to as wood veneer, is a kind of decorative material used for interior decoration or furniture surface, which is made by cutting natural wood or technical wood into thin slices of a certain thickness, adhering to the surface of plywood, and then hot pressing.
How to choose decorative plywood?
Some unscrupulous merchants make a fuss about the surface panel. The surface panel is too thin, with a thickness of only about 0.1. In order to prevent the color of the bottom plate from showing through, first paint a layer of paint with the same color as the surface panel on the bottom plate, and then paste the surface panel. The adhesion is poor, resulting in poor bonding strength of the surface panel and easy to bulge. Consumers can scrape the surface with a razor blade. If the paint is scraped, the thickness of most of the surface panels does not meet the standard.
High quality veneer plywood will make the room sparkle. After a period of use of inferior decorative panels, the surface will bulge and crack. Before purchasing decorative panels, you should pay attention to the following points:
①Recognize the difference between artificial veneer and natural wood veneer. The texture of the former is basically a straight texture, and the texture pattern is regular; while the latter is a natural wood pattern, and the texture pattern is naturally variable and irregular.
②Better decorative. The appearance of the decorative plywood should have a good aesthetic feeling, the material should be meticulous and uniform, the color and luster should be clear, and the wood grain should be beautiful. The texture of the matching board and the parquet should be arranged according to a certain rule, the natural color is similar, and the patchwork is almost parallel to the edge of the board.
③The surface should be free of obvious flaws. The surface of the selected decorative plywood should be smooth and clean, without burrs, brown groove marks and planer marks; there should be no glue penetration and board surface pollution (such as local yellowing and blackening); the surface should be selected as far as possible without cracks, cracks and knots. The natural warpage of the whole board should be kept as small as possible, so as to avoid the phenomenon of sand penetration caused by improper operation of the sanding process.
④No glue opening phenomenon. It should be noted that bulging and delamination cannot occur between the surface veneer and the substrate, and between the layers inside the substrate.
⑤The knife prying method is the most intuitive method to test the bonding strength. Use a sharp flat blade to pry it open along the rubber layer. If the rubber layer is damaged but the wood is not damaged, it means that the bonding strength is poor.
⑥To choose the plate with low formaldehyde emission. When choosing, decorative boards with a pungent odor should be avoided.
⑦Choose good products with clear production enterprises. Most of the products with clear factory name, factory address and trademark have good performance.
